Our Orange County Birth Doulas are not simply an extra set of hands or a person to replace your partner. Your Certified Birth Doula will serve as your guide and ultimate comfort emotionally, physically, mentally and educationally. She’ll grow and bond with your family on your special journey and show up for you both with continuous labor support. Our Doulas will meet you where you’re at whether you are delivering at the hospital, birth center or at home. And especially if plans change. It’s a resource that brings calm, confidence, and care when you need it most — so you can focus on welcoming your baby with love.

the doula
Working with a doula for your labor has been proven time and time again to dramatically reduce the need for pain medications, interventions, and cesareans. Having the support of your partner has been proven to help labor however not as greatly as when you also bring in the presence of a doula.
Having a Doula by your side means having unwavering support on one of the most important days of your life.
When hiring a doula, you will benefit from continuous care by someone you know, employed by you, rather than by the institution, and who can focus primarily on your specific needs.
Includes
· Continuous Pregnancy, Labor & Birth Support by a Certified Birth Professional.
· Two private, prenatal appointments to go over your birth plan details and discuss your expectations and how you’ll work together as a team.
· New Education & Exercises at every prenatal appointment to ensure optimal pregnancy health & fetal positioning for birth.
· Emotional & physical support for the mother during labor such as: help with positioning, massage, relaxation techniques, hydration & nourishment.
· Support for the father during your labor (education, help with positioning, relaxation support, emotional support, water, snack prep, etc.).
· Prenatal support via phone, text and email.
· Organic, Non-GMO Essential Oils & Diffuser.
· Guaranteed back-up doulas.
· Birth photography with the couples camera during & after the birth (if desired by the expecting couple).
· Postpartum support (1-2 hours) at the birth location to ensure the mother and father are settled in and comfortable. This is where your doula may help with breastfeeding, tidying up, meal prep, answering any questions or taking snapshots of your new family.
· Postpartum follow up visit to check in on parents, offer emotional support, process the birth and/or to answer any new parenting questions.

The Process
001. Complete Inquiry
When you get in touch with us, share as much information as you can and we’ll connect you with a doula professional that is available for your due date & birthing location.
002. Consultation
Your doula will connect with you to schedule a complimentary consultation to discuss services further and see if it’s a good fit.
003. Contract + retainer fee
Once the doula contract and retainer fee are submitted, your doula services have officially been booked. You and your doula will be in contact to schedule your first prenatal visit and begin care.
